A dress code in dance is essential to the proper development of a student’s technique. The teacher needs to be able to see a dancer’s alignment and form in order to correct mistakes. Baggy clothing hides bad habits, hindering corrections and advancement. A dress code also cultivates discipline and unity — essential components to the study of dance. A dress code aids the focus and energy of a class. If you dress like a dancer, you feel and dance like a dancer.

Girls: Light pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair pulled back.
Boys: Fitted white tank or t-shirt, black dance pants, black ballet shoes.
